Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Who you are agreeing with

PopPond is provided by Waseem Sayegh, a sole developer in the United Arab Emirates. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

You can reach us through poppond.com/support.

What you may do

You may install PopPond on devices you own or control and use it for personal, non-commercial learning, including with your own children or your own class.

What you may not do

You may not copy, extract, redistribute or resell the photographs, recordings or word lists inside the app. You may not decompile or reverse engineer it, remove or alter any notice inside it, or use it to build a competing product.

The recordings are original work, made for this app by native speakers.

Books included with the app

Ten books come with PopPond at no cost. There is no trial period and nothing to unlock before you can use them.

Buying more books

Additional books can be bought individually. Each purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks that book on the app store account used to buy it, and it stays unlocked.

Subscriptions

PopPond may offer a subscription that unlocks every book while it is active.

The price and the billing period are shown in the app before you buy, and prices differ by country. Payment is taken by the Apple App Store or Google Play when you confirm the purchase.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, unless you cancel it. It keeps renewing until you cancel.

To cancel, use the subscription settings in your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Cancelling in the app store is the only way to stop a renewal; there is no way to do it inside PopPond. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or the next period will already have been billed.

Cancelling stops future payments. It does not refund the period you are in, and you keep access until that period ends.

If a price changes, the app store will tell you before it takes effect and will ask you to agree before charging the new amount.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies. We cannot issue a refund for a purchase made through either store.

If a purchase has gone wrong, write to us through poppond.com/support and we will help you take it up with them.

Ownership

The app, the photographs, the recordings, the words, the name PopPond and the PopPond artwork remain the property of Waseem Sayegh. Buying a book buys access to it inside the app, not ownership of anything in it.

Availability

PopPond is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be free of faults or available without interruption, and we may change or discontinue parts of it.

Books you have bought remain available to you for as long as the app is supported on your platform.

Limits

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the consumer law of your country. Where that law gives you more than these terms do, that law applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.

Changes

If these terms change we will update the date at the top of this page.
